We are patting ourselves on the back! The Bard Foundation, $8,000 to be used as the 25% match to a $26,000 PA Heritage Park Program grant applied for this past spring. Both grants combined will fund an interpretation plan that will be developed for the Lock 60 area. Upon completion of the lock restoration, the Association will need to be ready to provide an accurate historical interpretation of the lock and the locktender's life. This will help us to prepare for that.
SCA has applied to the PA Dept. of Community and Economic Development grant program for a portion of the needed $65,000 for construction. The Arcadia Foundation and the Beatty Trust have also given grants for this project. |
